the SWINGCATS

If you think that “Swingcats” just means 1930's or 40's swing, then you’ve got it  just partly right. This international band (NL / USA / B / D) featuring the saxofonist and clarinettist Frank Roberscheuten has much more in their repertoire than just Swing music. The musical range of this quartet with their fabulous American singer Shaunette Hildabrand extends from classic New Orleans Jazz to Rhythm & Blues to Bebop. One can always rely on this band for musical excursions which naturally include Gospels and Ballads. Their variety of style, their pure acoustic sound and their sheer energy mean just one thing: an unforgettable experience.

Since 1994, the band has released 10 CDs, all greeted with enthusiasm.
The Swingcats have reached cruising speed over the last couple of years and engagements have followed in quick succession throughout the whole of Europe and far afield in New Zealand.

Top international musicians join in on a regular basis. Their names: Clark Terry (USA, tpt), Tom Baker (USA/AUS, tpt/tb/sx), Dan Barrett (USA, tb/tpt), Colin Dawson (GB, tpt), Patrick Artero (F, tpt), Bert Boeren (NL, tb), Irakli (F, tpt).
