Frank Roberscheuten

(NL, clarinet / sopr., alt & ten. sax)

Formed the Swingcats in 1991. Since then the band has released 10 CDs to rave reviews. Frank is an experienced soloist and has built a solid reputation as an important sax player on both sides of the Atlantic. He has played at the prestigious North Sea Festival in The Hague, in Holland and many other places including the March Of Jazz in Florida alongside famous  names like Clark Terry, Scott Hamilton, Lillian Boutté, Howard Alden, Marty Grosz, Bob Haggart, Flip Philips, Jerry Jerome, Jacky Williams, Milt Hinton and Jake Hanna.

Shaunette Hildabrand

(USA, vocals)

Hails from Oklahoma and studied classical singing in Texas and New York.

While in Europe she perfected the styles of classical jazz from the 30s  and 40s and now performs with the Swingcats throughout Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium, often sharing the stage with musicians like  Franz Jackson, Truck Parham, Jim Galloway, Dan Barrett, Tom Baker and Hazy Osterwald.

Dirk Van der Linden

(B, piano / guitar / hammond)

His first love was the guitar, but Dirk is just as well versed at the piano, Hammond organ and the bass. Already at an early age, Dirk was playing with artists such as "Toots" Thielemans and later with the American musicians Deborah Brown, "Mighty Flea" Connors, Lery Jones and Charlie Gabriel. Dirk brought his multi-facetted talent to the Swingcats in 1996.

Karel Algoed

(B, double bass / sousaphone)

For the last 25 years he’s been a pillar and safe haven of the European traditional jazz scene. The reason: the purity of his style and natural acoustic sound.

He has played with the legendary Belgian Cotton City Jazz Band and still plays with The Fondy Riverside Bullet Band among others and has travelled two years through Europe with the British Sammy Rimington Band (GB).

His “hobby": playing blues, country and rock ‘n roll.

Moritz Gastreich

(D, drums)

The youngest  member of the band got interested in all styles of music at a very early age and started playing drums at 14. He studied music at the College of Music in Hilversum (NL) and played professionally very soon, including touring with Peanuts Hucko (USA, Louis Armstrong Band & Glenn Miller Orchestra), guitarist Marty Grosz (USA), Roy Williams (GB) and John Barnes (GB).
